The Problem Nobody Talks About in Passive Income
You’ve seen the promises. Build a business in your spare time. Create income streams while you sleep. Work from anywhere with just a laptop.
And then you try it. You spend six months building a course nobody buys. You launch a blog that gets 47 visitors a month (mostly your mom). You create a YouTube channel that makes $3.62 after 100 hours of work.
The passive income dream isn’t a lie. But the path most people follow absolutely is. I know because I wasted three years doing it the hard way before I figured out what actually works.
That’s why I wrote The 4 Minute Workday. Not as another “get rich quick” fantasy, but as a realistic blueprint for people who want real passive income without quitting their day job or risking their savings.
What The 4 Minute Workday Actually Does
The 4 Minute Workday is my step-by-step system for building micro-businesses that generate passive income with minimal daily maintenance. The title isn’t clickbait. It’s literal.
Once you set up these systems correctly, you can maintain them in about four minutes a day. Sometimes less.
The book walks you through:
The Foundation (Chapters 1-3): Why traditional passive income advice fails and what actually works in 2025. I break down the difference between “passive” and “automated” income (most people confuse these and waste months on the wrong approach).
The Systems (Chapters 4-7): Five specific micro-business models I’ve personally used or helped clients implement. These aren’t theoretical. Each one includes real numbers, real timelines, and real obstacles you’ll face.
The Execution (Chapters 8-10): How to actually build these systems without perfectionism paralysis. This section alone has saved readers hundreds of hours because it shows you exactly what matters and what doesn’t.
The Maintenance (Chapters 11-12): How to keep everything running with minimal time investment. This is where the “4 minutes” comes in.
The book is short (about 150 pages) because I cut all the filler. No inspirational quotes. No 30-page backstory about my childhood. Just the system that works.
Why This Approach Actually Works in 2025
I published the first edition in 2023. Since then, AI tools have exploded, the economy has shifted, and a lot of passive income strategies have become obsolete.
The 2025 edition (which is what you’ll get when you grab it on Amazon at https://a.co/d/00EbaByF) includes major updates for the current landscape.
Here’s what makes it different from every other passive income book:
It’s based on time, not money. Most books assume you have $5,000 to invest or can work 40 hours a week on your side business. My system assumes you have maybe 30 minutes a day and less than $100 to start.
It focuses on boring businesses. No crypto. No NFTs. No “revolutionary” platforms that didn’t exist six months ago. Just proven models that have worked for decades and will keep working.
It’s honest about the work. The “4 minute workday” comes after you do the setup work. That setup might take 20-40 hours total. I don’t hide that. But once it’s done, it’s done.
The results speak for themselves. I’ve had readers email me screenshots of their first $100 month, their first $1,000 month, and (in a few cases) their first $10,000 month. The timeline varies, but the system works if you actually implement it.
My Personal Story With This System
I didn’t start as a passive income expert. I started as a guy who was tired of trading hours for dollars.
In 2019, I was working a corporate job I didn’t hate but didn’t love. I wanted options. So I did what everyone does: I googled “how to make passive income” and fell down the rabbit hole.
I tried affiliate marketing (made $0). I tried dropshipping (lost $800). I tried creating an online course (spent three months building something that got two sales).
The turning point came when I stopped trying to build a “big” business and started thinking small. Really small.
I launched a simple automated service that solved one specific problem for one specific type of customer. It took me about 30 hours to set up. Within two months, it was generating $400/month. Within six months, $1,200/month.
That business still runs today. I spend about 15 minutes a week on it (yes, more than four minutes a day, but it’s one of five systems I run).
I documented that process and four other similar systems in The 4 Minute Workday. The book is basically the instruction manual I wish I’d had in 2019.
Since publishing it, I’ve built 4minuteworkday.com as the main hub for readers who want to go deeper. And I created 4minutestart.com as a completely free resource library with templates, checklists, and tools you can use even if you never buy the book.
Who This Book Is Actually For
This isn’t for everyone. Let me be clear about that.
This book is for you if:
- You have a job but want to build something on the side
- You’re willing to do 20-40 hours of setup work for long-term payoff
- You want realistic results (think $500-$2,000/month, not $50,000/month)
- You’re tired of hype and want a straightforward system
This book is NOT for you if:
- You want to get rich quick
- You’re not willing to do any upfront work
- You need to replace a full-time income in the next 90 days
- You’re looking for motivation or inspiration (get a Tony Robbins book for that)
I wrote this for normal people with normal schedules who want abnormal results over time.
How To Actually Use This Book
Here’s what I tell everyone: don’t just read it. Implement it.
Pick one system from the book. Just one. Follow the steps exactly as written. Don’t add your own “improvements” or skip steps because they seem unnecessary.
Give it 90 days. Track your progress. Adjust based on real data, not feelings.
If it works, scale it or add a second system. If it doesn’t work, email me (my contact info is in the book) and tell me what went wrong. I respond to every message because I genuinely want to know where people get stuck.
The readers who succeed are the ones who treat this like a project, not a dream. They block out time. They follow the checklist. They do the boring work that actually matters.
Get The Book and Start Building
Look, I’m not going to pretend this book will change your life overnight. It won’t.
But if you implement even one system from it, you can build something that generates income while you sleep, work your day job, or spend time with your family.
That’s not hype. That’s just math and systems working together.

It’s priced lower than a lunch because I want as many people as possible to have access to it. My goal isn’t to get rich off book sales. My goal is to build authority and help people actually succeed with passive income.
And if you want to test the waters before buying, head over to 4minutestart.com and grab some of the free resources there. No email opt-in required. Just free tools you can use today.
The passive income dream is real. But you need a realistic system to get there. This book is that system.
